| This Panasonic screen is well made, good-looking and easy to use. It features sensible set-up menus, a logical remote control and a sturdy pedestal stand – so far, so par for the course. Not for the first time, though, Panasonic has gone its own way where the fundamentals are concerned: this has the lowest on-paper resolution of the lot. |

| When we first looked at this tidy, blandly attractive screen it was one of the cheapest 37in sets you could buy. The N3760W lit all the ‘bargain’ buttons and, as a consequence, scored a healthy four stars. |

| For the first time, here is a budget Sony product that does little to disguise the fact. They are normally so well turned out, from the TV itself to the on-screen menus, but this set looks a bit, well, cheap, The menus, though still slick and easy to use, just don’t have the same smooth style we’re used to from the Japanese giants – and even the speakers are a touch disappointing. |

| We love mechnical stands. There's just something so cool about being able to swivel your TV without leaving your seat. So this Hitachi's electronic pedestal immediately made us smile. |

| Things start very well for this Samsung. The ‘rose black’ translucent bezel is subtle and extremely attractive. Samsung describes this as the ‘touch of colour’ series, but ‘touch of class’ would be just as fitting. |

| Finally, we can stop speculating and start declaiming. Panasonic, flatscreen front-runner for ages now, has delivered a 1920 x 1080 resolution, Full HD LCD TV of just 32 inches, with 24fps compatibility. In the past, we've posited that screens of this size may not offer picture-quality benefits over 1366 x 768 resolution, HD Ready sets. That was easy to say, because we hadn't seen a 32in Full HD screen until now. |

| This 65-incher is a monster. It caused us a real headache (and back-ache) trying to get it into testing position. Annoying, considering we only got to spend a short time with it. |

| However, even at the best price you can find, the 'X3500 - which we loved when we first saw it - now looks a touch too expensive. New-season sets, including the superlative Sony KDL-40W4000, are redefining flatscreen value. |

| Loewe products excude class in a way few rivals can better. So, as you might expect, the Connect is no ordinary 37in LCD. It's a Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080p, and it'll show 24 frames per second (24fps). So far, this set is up with the spec leaders in the market. |
